Identity
One cannot expect to speak whatever comes to mind in complete anonymity and expect to be taken seriously. The cost of speech, like anything else, is important -- that which entails cost and risk is more valuable than that which does not. If money can't be exchanged for writings on the Internet, and reputation is the currency to be traded for thoughts, then anonymity cannot be maintained. This is why most everything written on the Internet has so little value.
There is irony in this pseudonymous post. But it does not diminish the point.
Inspired by this.
